Steve is an Advanced Emergency Care Instructor Trainer with the Canadian Red Cross. He has been a professional firefighter for 24 years for the City of North Bay, and has completed the Primary Care Paramedic program through Northern College. Steve has been instructing Red Cross programs since 1998 and has been an Instructor Trainer since 2000 for First Aid, Emergency Care, and more recently Psychological First Aid programs as a Training Partner and Instructor Development Centre. Steve also is an associate instructor for for the Ontario Fire College(OFC) and on the OFC Provincial Advisory Committees for NFPA 1521 (Incident Safety Officer) and NFPA 1006 (Vehicle Extrication). Steve is active in the Workplace Psychological Health and Safety Committee, Joint Health and Safety Committee, and Peer Support Group. In his spare time Steve enjoys time with family and the outdoors and is active in several community initiatives.

Craig is an Advanced Emergency Care Instructor Trainer with the Canadian Red Cross. He has been working as a land Paramedic in Timmins for the past 24 years and also worked several years as a flight Paramedic. Craig began Instructing for the Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor in 1993. He has been Instructing First Aid and CPR since 1996, First Responder since 1998 and became an Instructor Trainer with the Red Cross in 2000. Craig enjoys camping and hiking as well as downhill and cross country skiing.
Louise has been and Instructor for 25 years for the Canadian Red Cross. She started out her Instructor career at the YMCA and now works full time as the Executive Director the Canadian Diamond Drilling Association. She taught for the YMCA for 5 years before becoming an Authorized Provider for the last 20 years. One of her greatest achievements as an instructor is having the opportunity to have certified over 600 youth in the Red Cross Babysitting and Stay Safe Program. Louise is trying to find just the right picture!
Lynn is a certified First Aid and CPR Instructor and Teaching Experience Supervisor with the Red Cross. More recently, Lynn was an event and logistics coordinator in our nation’s capital, where she worked along some of the country’s leading cardiologists providing opportunities for information sharing benefiting all communities across Canada.
Lynn is also a certified Yoga Instructor (CYT), with additional certification in Yoga for Seniors, and instructs in the North Bay area. She is passionate about the importance of stress management and is available to teach workshops in an effort to raise awareness as to how this plays a key role in personal health, healing and overall well-being. In her personal time, Lynn likes to kayak, paddle board, snorkel, hike, fish, ski, snowshoe and travel.
After 30 years of military service and traveling the globe, Sophie brings real stories to share in her classes. Sophie has been a First Aid Instructor for over 15 years in the North Bay/Sudbury area and teaches in both official languages. First Aid & CPR Courses, Basic Life Support including Oxygen, Psychological First Aid, Teaching Experience Supervisor, Babysitting Course & Stay Safe Programs, as well as Wilderness & Remote First Aid Course coming up in 2021.Sophie also owns and operate SP Bed & Breakfast in North Bay, and other rental properties. She likes to spend her spare time as a background actress, traveling the world, perusing a Bachelors Degree and making memories with her family
Derek is a First Aid and CPR Instructor as well as a Teaching Experience Supervisor with the Red Cross. Derek has worked since 2001 at a Wilderness Based Therapeutic Adventure program for young men in various positions ranging from Wilderness Field Guide/Trip Leader to Risk Manager and Program Coordinator. He is a wilderness first responder and outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys canoeing, hiking, skiing and camping in his spare time.
Dawn is a certified Red Cross First Aid & CPR Instructor and a Teaching Experience Supervisor. Dawn has worked closely with indigenous communities; she was given the name Biich Kwe (Water Woman) and is guided by “The Seven Grandfather Teachings." She has a passion for teaching and a love for learning and the outdoors.
Dawn combines her gifts of teaching with her love of exploring and is happy to go to remote areas. She is a strong believer that the more members of a community trained – the better wellbeing the community.
Dawn currently resides in Temiskaming shores, originally from the North Shore, Dawn grew up in Elliot Lake, Blind River & Thessalon, spending summers on Manitoulin Island.
When she is not teaching or spending time with her two grandbabies, Dawn can be found, or rather not found “off grid” usually on the water, in her kayak!
